Um mig

Ég mála íslenska náttúru eins og ég upplifi hana, ekki bara eins og hún lítur út.

 

Ég heiti Guðrún og er sjálflærð listakona, fædd og uppalin í Kópavogi. Í gegnum árin hef ég stundað ýmis listanámskeið, bæði sem barn og fullorðin. Ég eyddi á unglingsárum mínum í Bandaríkjunum og einu sumri í Namibíu sem hefur mótað mína listrænu sýn.

Samhliða skapandi list hef ég djúpa ástríðu fyrir náttúrunni sérstaklega fjallahlaupum og ferðalögum um íslenska náttúru. Sem er minn helsti innblástur í verkum mínum.

Listin hefur gefur mér tækifæri til að hægja á, tengjast sjálfri mér á ný og tjá tilfinningar og reynslu sem orð ná oft ekki utan um.


Verk mín eru mótuð af íslenskri náttúru, kyrrð og hljóðlátum augnablikum sem skapa rými, skýrleika og frið. Með list minni leitast ég við að kalla fram ró, mýkt og þá blíðu tilfinningu sem fylgir því að draga djúpt inn andann úti í náttúrunni á annasömum degi.
